Brief Answer:
It could be due to vaginal atrophy

Detailed Answer:

Hello,

Spotting after menopause could be due to vaginal atrophy. Vaginal atrophy is normal due to aging related hormonal changes. Stresses could also cause hormonal imbalance. In such a case hormonal replacement therapy may work. However it should be taken under guidance of a gynecologist.
