Should One Discontinue Taking Senokot-S While Suffering With Nausea?

Question: my wife 08/10/1931 is suffering with nausea ..she has been taking senokot-s for more than a week. the dose of
2 to 4 tablets a day , with very little bowel movements. shall she stop senokot-s? what else can she try?

Certainly we can replace senna but would like to know if nausea started after your wife commenced using senna. If this is the case, then we can do so. Also, how are her bowel movements at this time?

Number of stools? Consistency?

she started nausea after taking senokot-s, she had last time stools 2 days ago
and they were hard like small stones and painful.

Stop and try colace!

Hi and thanks for this precision.

I will suggest she stops this and try colace calcium 240mg daily. Let's monitor the nausea and constipation to see if it remains same or gets better and adjustments would be made accordingly.
