Brief Answer:
Multiple small gall stones need surgical treatment

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX
Thanks for writing in to us.

I have read through you query in detail.
Gall stones are a very common problem these days and a single stone not causing pain usually requires no treatment. If there are multiple stones and the size of stones is such that they can cause obstruction to the flow of bile through the cystic duct or common bile ducts then treatment by laproscopic surgery may be considered even in the absence of pain. This is because the stones can get blocked in the bile pathways at any time and cause jaundice and severe pain which can cause complications.

Surgery is best done after discussing with the surgeon and obtaining medical fitness for surgery after complete medical check up including cardiac evaluation.

Hope your query is answered.
Do write back if you have any further doubts.
