Should We Think Of Surgery For My Child (4 Year, 3 Months Old) Have Undescended Testis ?

Question: My child (4 year, 3 months old) have undescended testis problem, one paediatrician suggest us for surgery(Orchidopexy)

Thanks for posting your query. Yes undescended testicles should be surgically placed into the scrotum if it does not move down naturally in a few months. It is usually done within first 1 year of birth so that it does not cause any problems in the future. So please get the surgery done as soon as possible.

We consult pediatric surgeons in and he says there are no undescended testicles its "Testicles retraction ". because sometimes testicles come down and sometimes it's up. We don't need surgery right now. If needed then we will do it after 2 years.

What do you think is the right decision?

If we will do surgery then it will cover in our policy right?
