Brief Answer:
Please get an ECG done

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

There could be many causes of such a pain including heart issues, lung issues, problem with overlying muscles or ribs, anxiety problem, acidity etc.

Heart issues should be ruled out by getting an ECG done and checked by a cardiologist or internal medicine specialist.

I can help you by narrowing the diagnosis. For this please provide the following details:
- where exactly is the pain and how does it feel like
- does it get better or worse by pressing the pain point
- does it get better or worse by any movement
- does it radiate to any other body part like neck or shoulder
- do you have any breathing issue
- what is your age
- is there stress around
- what have you tried for it
- how is your pulse and blood pressure

Please reply to the above so that I am better able to help
Regards,

Brief Answer:
Normal ECG

Detailed Answer:
Hi again,

The ECG is normal. So its most probably not heart issue.
From your description it seems to be coming from outer layer/covering of lungs (pleurisy). It could just be anxiety too. Pleura may be responding to some infection or allergy in lungs. Does it happen when you get some cold, flu or allergy?
Anyways it doesnot seem serious to me. For further diagnosis of any lung issue chest X-Ray PA view can be done. Also examination by a doctor can be done to find any pleural rub.
Medicine is currently not needed.

Regards,
Dr Vaishalee
