Brief Answer:
Excess water intake

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thanks for your query.

Excess water intake is the best approach for small stones.

Also, avoiding green leafy vegetables for few days would help. Oxalic acid present in the green leaves can increase the risk of getting stones.

The right side 1 cm stone is one which must be meddled with. If the repeat scan after 6 months shows the stone not reduced than 1 cm in size you may have to go for extraction via cystoscopy.

Hope, I answered your query.

Wish you good health.

Sir, it's not 1cm stone. It's 5mm stone 1cm above junction.

Brief Answer:
I apologize

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thanks for writing back.

I sincerely apologize for misreading the report.

The advice stands same, drinking more water and avoiding the green leafy vegetables.

5mm stone is not big enough to cause blockade and cause back pressure leading to hydronephrosis. I am sure the size will be bigger than 5mm. A CT scan can ascertain that.

For not if you do not have pain abdomen, then we shall stick to water therapy alone.

But repeat scan after 6 months is a must. Next time you can go for a CT scan directly, as the stone size will be accurate in measuring the stone size.

Hope, I answered your query.

Wish you good health.
