Skin Rash On My Penile Head Few Weeks Ago
Question: I have had a skin rash on my penile head. It started 3-4 weeks ago. The amount of skin area hasn't changed since then and the rush intensity hasn't changed either.
I would like to add that don't have any pain, itching, or any other type of discomfort. I haven't had sex with anyone other than my wife.
Brief Answer:
Candidal balanitis
Detailed Answer:
Hello ,
It appears to be mild candidal infection.
Apply ointment clotrimazole twice daily for 15 days and see the response.
If it helps, you can use the cream for 2 months.
Of there is no response get yourself tested for Herpes simplex.
Let me know if you have any other doubts.
Thank you.

Some more info:
I actually do suffer from herpes outbreaks showing up every few months on my lips. 3-4 weeks ago I had one on my lips. I am pretty sure I have seen herpes on my genital area too, but I thought this looked different this time. After this info, do you still think this is candida or do you weigh more towards herpes?

Brief Answer:
Acyclovir
Detailed Answer:
Hello
With the history you have given, I would consider herpes as first diagnosis.
Usually herpes presents as tiny water filled rashes but in chronic condition it might present as a red plaque.
Apply ointment acyclovir three times a day for 7 days.
Don't apply clotrimazole.
You should get relief with that.
Let me know if you have any other doubts.
Thank you.
