Question: Slight dizzy all day, throughout the day for 2 weeks.
Pressure in the head, felt behind eyes, behind nose, temples, top of head and at time base of skull. pressure is about a 3 on the scale. STARTED AFTER vertigo like feeling, about 4 days ago. Now its daily and seems to be getting worse by the day.
Pain is at a 2 or 3 at times.
Dizziness not as bad laying down, wake up in morning and it gradually increases throughout the day.
Pressure in head increases later in the day.

Blood test came back normal for liver function, blood sugar, thyroid, and blood count.
3 months ago had pretty in depth cardiologist check up and was found normal
1 week ago EKG normal
Blood pressure ranges from 100/80 to 110/ 73 most days.
O2 always at like 98/99

No ringing in ears, no pain in ears, no obvious anything when doctor looked in ears.
Neuro exam in office normal they said
Except he had me march in place for 30 paces and I slightly moved forward and to the RT a little bit.

I am getting panicked because its not getting better, and its still going. I have now started to google, and ENT ordered Brain MRI, which I assume is because he wants to check for brain tumor, which he says is rare, but now I have convinced myself that I may have a brain tumor, because what else would cause this for so long,,, VERY SCARED>

Brief Answer:
Brain CT scan is the last choice when you try all the solutions already but can not help.

Detailed Answer:
Hello and thank you for your question XXXXXXX Hope I can be of help for you today.

Through reading your query I would like to help you with this question. Sorry that you have been suffering from dizziness for a period of time now and not getting better. When you have dizziness you mean you nearly blacked out or fainted or passed out? Or any spin around (vertigo)? Because they are very important to differentiate vertigo or dizziness from passing out. When you walk do you feel an imbalance like the ground not equal? The cause of dizziness (vertigo, presyncope, disequilibrium, or nonspecific dizziness). Presyncope is usually experienced as a sensation of faint. When you get upright posture you feel dizzy. Nonspecific dizziness is ill described and has a wide differential diagnosis that may include milder forms of vertigo, presyncope, and disequilibrium, as well as medication side effects, psychiatric disease, and metabolic derangements. If you have vertigo you can try antihistamine drugs and Epley maneuver or brandt daroff exercises. You can prescribe by your doctor. Brain CT scan is the last choice when you try all the solutions already but can not help.

I hope that can help you, and please let me know if you have any clarification or question about that, and I would be welcome to discuss it with you further. I Hope you have good health.

Best regards,

NO spinning, passing out, falling over at all. I can stand pretty still even with my eyes closed. I feel a slight motion, rocking, swaying feeling. Or a SLIGHT falling back feeling. NOT strong, just enough to bother me.

NO imbalance when walking.

The combo of the slight motion/ rocking/ swaying AND the head pressure, behind my face, nose, forehead, and headband area ALL day long for days.

OK on the Brain MRI, do you think my symptoms sound less likely to be a brain tumor? not sure why they ordered that exam so quickly maybe just hopefully to ease my mind.

Brief Answer:
If it is not better you can do an MRI to see if there are any abnormalities

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thank you for your clarification. According to your history with chronic sinus inflammation and anxiety. Do you have any symptoms related to sinus inflammation now? Such as nasal congestion, runny nose, face pain because if you are suffering from sinus inflammation they also can cause you those symptoms that you describe now. Try antihistamine and steroid nasal spray if it can help you feel better. Resolving your anxiety by meeting your counselor also may be helpful for your symptoms release. If it is not better you can do an MRI to see if there are any abnormalities.

Hope I have answered your query. If you do not have any clarifications, you can close the discussion and rate the answer. Wish you have good health. Let me know if I can assist you further.
