Brief Answer:
more investigations are needed
Detailed Answer:
Hello Mariecrawford,
I have read your query and understand your health concern. I have gone through your symptoms, and the labs you have mentioned.
In my suggestion, you need further investigations like hemoglobin, dengue antibodies IgG and IgM, sputum testing for AFB or rapid test for Tuberculosis (just to rule it out, due to Unexplained weight loss), Thyroid profile test.
Could you please upload your complete blood picture lab report? I would be able to draw more insights from it.
Awaiting your response.
Regards,
Dr Shanthi E

Yes I can and will be happy to share them with you.
My hemoglobin dropped as well, it was 13.5 and now it’s 12.5
Brief Answer:
Your symptoms are due to existing hypothyroidism
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for uploading the reports, I have read them all.
Your symptoms are due to existing hypothyroidism, and nothing else. All your reports are normal.
The hemoglobin dropping from 13.5 to 12.5 is still normal. It has to be above 10.
I would suggest you to repeat your fasting thyroid profile test, and review with your treating doctor to make changes in your existing treatment.
Nothing more is required. When your thyroid hormones are at optimal levels, all your symptoms will be reversed.
Please let me know if you have any more concerns.
Regards,
Dr Shanthi E

I don’t think that’s right. What about my platelets dropping?
Brief Answer:
Dengue could be one cause for platelets drop
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for your follow up question.
Dengue could be one cause for platelets drop. That is why in my initial answer, I suggested you to get Dengue antibodies IgG and IgM done. If your symptoms are associated with acute fever, joints pain; it is likely to be Dengue.
Your other symptoms are most likely due to the existing Hypothyroidism. I would still suggest you to repeat your thyroid profile test, and get your thyroid medication reviewed by your treating doctor.
Hope this resolves your medical concern. Please do as I have suggested. You should be fine very soon.
Wishing you good health.

I don’t think that’s it
Brief Answer:
Please do the tests as suggested
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Please do the lab tests as I have suggested in my previous answer. At least, by doing so; we can rule out the suspected problems. Dengue and hypothyroidism are 2 differential diagnoses that I can think of, based on your symptoms and labs.
Please do the tests as suggested.
