Question: So i noticed a dark spot in the corner of my toe nail. Wondering if its just a bruise or blood spot? Not sure if you can tell from this pic i took...for my job i walk and stand on concrete floor all day and do alot of heavy lifting. Shoes are also tighter fitting then normal if any of that helps... https://drive.google.com/file/d/13TwVtVEWI7fSeJz6Af6TGAxE3Ewj0PKh/view?usp=sharing

Brief Answer:
Bruised toe nail

Detailed Answer:
Thank you for trusting us with your health question

I have gone through your question and the attached picture
The discoloration you are noticing is due to bruise/hematoma collection in the nail bed.
It can happen due to minor trauma, which can go unnoticed.

The change in shoe fitting you are noticing could be due to the mild swelling associated with trauma.

There is nothing to be worried about. The accumulated blood will get reabsorbed in about 2 weeks.
If you notice pain, you can take over the counter Tylenol and apply cold compress for pain relief.

Hope this answers your question
