Brief Answer:
USG abdomen, urine test, a few more details, please.

Detailed Answer:
Hi there
Welcome to 'Ask A Doctor' service.

I have understood your concern and I'd suggest you the best possible treatment options...

First of all, please do not panic.

Your age is suggesting that your vaginal bleeding could be a postmenopausal bleeding.
It needs to be investigated properly.

I would like to know about a few things in detail:
1. Whether the regular menses stopped or not (if yes, since when)?
2. Did you have any vaginal bleeding since then?
4. Do you have any other health issues?
5. Have you got any USG or urine test done?

Please feel free to communicate with me again.
Your feedback will be helpful to suggest the best possible treatment options.

Meanwhile, I will suggest you drink plenty of water and fruit juices in the day. Keep private parts clean and dry. Please get the USG abdomen, pelvis and Urine routine microscopy, urine culture and sensitivity tests done.

Awaiting the details...

I hope this answer helps you.

Thanks.

I had stage 3C breast cancer 13 years ago I have had urinary tract infections bladder infections I just had a pap smear of the beginning of this year in which came out fine being that I was on chemo yes it could have been premenstrual issues that I've had bleeding or my my my pre-menopausal that I've had that came up right after the chemo so I don't know if that has anything to do with it maybe I'm going back through my menopause again it's possible but abdomen seems fine no real pain or anything like that so I'm just wondering if this is just premenopausal

Brief Answer:
Hysteroscopy and endometrial biopsy is must.

Detailed Answer:
Hi there,
Thanks for appreciating the answer and reverting back to me.

I have gone through your reply.
It's of great help to suggest you the best possible treatment options.

As your PAP smear reports are normal, it's good to hear about it.
I will suggest you to get thoroughly investigated, about your vaginal bleeding.
It can be just due to minor vaginal infection or natural hormonal changes. But we need to investigate properly.

I will suggest you to get a good USG done, if needed with vaginal probe.
Urine routine examination with culture and sensitivity test.
Please seek support from your treating gynecologist for diagnostic hysteroscopy and endometrial biopsy, to rule out pathology like endometrial infection, unwanted hormonal effects or endometrial cancer etc.

Please feel free to communicate with me again.
I hope this answer helps you.
Thanks.
