Someone I Know Has Ovarian Cancer . After Treatment, Day

Question: Someone I know has ovarian cancer. After treatment, day 2, it was noticed that there is no tightness around abdomen and day 5 abdomen has shrunk a lot. Does this indicate that the tumor is regressing?
Brief Answer:
Hello. It take time for the tumor to regress
Detailed Answer:
Hello dear. I have gone through the query. So if there has been surgery, then you can appreciate size reduction immediately. However, after chemotherapy, it takes atleast 4 weeks for any reduction in abdominal girth.
Thanks and regards

Yes, it takes time for the tumor to regress.
But my question is: Would the following indicate that the cancer is responding to treatment?
After treatment, it was noticed that there is no tightness around the abdomen and later abdomen has shrunk a lot.
Does this mean that the person is being cured of ovarian cancer?

Hello dear. If size is reducing, it is an indication that the cancer is decreasing. Cure will be there if there is complete disappearance of cancer.

Thanks.
One more question:
The ca-125 didn't drop that much (108 to 97). It's only the fifth day of treatment. Why? Should another ca-125 test be done later? Perhaps it's too early to see the ca-125 drop?
Am I asking too many questions? If so, please tell me so that I will tone down.

Brief Answer:
Hello. it takes time for ca 125 to come down.
Detailed Answer:
Hello dear. So we advise ca 125 monitoring once a month as it takes time for chemotherapy or surgery to show its effect.
You can ask as man question as you can. No worries.
Thanks and regards
