Brief Answer:
Can be arthritis

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I read your query and here is my advice.
The most common cause of the pain you are having in your ankles may be related to arthritis, osteoarthritis or tendinitis.
You may need to do a x-ray of the ankles also a total blood count with formula, sedimentation rate and anti ANA.
Taking anti inflammatory drugs such ibuprofen or naproxen will reduce pain and inflammation.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
Thanks.
