Brief Answer:
rest, warm compress 3 to 4 times daily, continue advil

Detailed Answer:
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

The pain is likely due to soft tissue injury to the chest area. It is not likely that there is any fracture to the affected area because a fracture requires significant trauma.

Your use of a heat pad and advil is appropriate. The heat pad should be used 3 to 4 times a day for 10 to 15 mins each time.

Reducing any movements that may aggravate the injury is important.

In most cases of soft tissue injury the pain gets worse by day 24 to 48 hours, stabilizes then decreases.

Advil can be taken 400 mg to 800 mg (if absolutely necessary) every 6 to 8 hours.
