Brief Answer:
Yes,chemoprophylaxis is needed
Detailed Answer:
Hi dear,
My advice is as follows:
Yes all those come in contact with the mentioned park, water, swimming or even just travelled inside the park need doxycycline once a week (not in pregnancy, kids) or Azithromycin twice a week prophylactically through the exposure period is needed weekly. After exposure just one dose taken within 24-72 hours of exposure should suffice.
An md medicine or infectious diseases specialist can prescribe these meds plus if any symptoms (anular lesions, fever, fatigue, pains, vomit). Blood test, pcr , antigen tests may be needed.
Hope this helps , let me know if I can assist further
Thanks.
