Brief Answer:
Consultation

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

I read your query and understand your concerns.

First of all I like to inform you that in the current era of psychopharmacology both panic attacks and anxiety are treatable disorders and most of the individuals respond well to available medications. Generally SSRI group of medications such as sertraline, fluoxetine, escitalopram among others are the first line of treatment and can be prescribed from young age to old age with limited side effects.

Secondly both panic attacks and anxiety belong to same spectrum of disorders and medications effective for panic attacks are effective for anxiety and vise versa.

Thirdly if the symptoms are mild to moderate psychotherapy such as CBT can be effective enough and generally preferred because there are no side effects with psychotherapy.

I request you to see a psychiatrist in person or online to get proper assessment so appropriate treatment can be started before it is too late.

I hope this helps you.
Feel free to write back to me if you have more questions.
Thanks and regards.
