Suffering From Diarrhoea. Having Abdominal Pain. Trying Brat Diet. Suggest Some Permanent Cure
Question: Hi i am a 22 yrs old female. i've been having daily diarrhea for the past 2 months. initially had no abdominal pain but now i do have it and it is sometimes relived by a bowel movement. I have tried the BRAT diet for a couple days and it worked. However the diarrhea came back after i resumed my normal eating habits.

Sudden onset of diarrhea and subsequent symptom of abdomial
pain needs to be investigated further. If this started after you had
some kind of intestinal infection , there are several possibilities. At
your younger age , IBS or Irritable bowel syndrome is common and
this can follow an infection. If your diarrhea is bloody or if you also
have fever or chills , we have to consider Inflammatory Bowel Disease
such as Crohn's colitis or Ulcerative Colitis which can be diagnosed
by special X-ray studies or endoscopic examination and biopsies.
Additional blood tests are needed as well.
If there is a family history of Crohn's or ulcerative colitis, this makes
the probability some what higher.
Celiac disease symptoms can also start rather abruptly. Sensitivity
to gluten which is found in wheat,barley,oats can cause this.
Always think about what you might have changed in your diet recently.
