Suffering From Migraine Headache. Eye Gets Strain And Blurred Vision. Are They Related?
I am 26 year old, male. I have been having frequent headache problem from past so many years. I feel this is migrain headache. Regular causes of my this headache are intense sun light, warm room temperature condition. This symptom gets persistent when I see the computer monitor/ tv or when I hear noise or until I stay in calm dark place. Even then once if the ache becomes too much, I take one or two vasograin tablets at a time to find relief.
I am suffering from this headache too much and too often. Please suggest me on how to tackle this headache.
Additional info: I have little bit eye problem too. But I have showed it with eye specialists but didn't get any convincing feedback whether this headache is related to eye problem or not. Eye problem is that, there is one small scar on my right eye nerves in pupil as said by a doctor. My right eye gets strained and vision slightly blurs form this eye.

Thanks for your query.
The nature of headache describe by you are mostly like a migraine; but it can be a cluster headache or tension type headache also.
So I need to ask few questions about your headache to know about the type of headache-
1. What is the total duration of the illness?
2. What is the site of headache? Is it unilateral or bilateral?
3. What is the nature of headache (throbbing, compressing or dull aching)?
4. What is the periodicity of the headache (means how many times in a month/week the headache occur) and what is the duration of headache?
5. Does headache is associated with anorexia, nausea, increased light sensitivity, reddening of eye, watering in the eyes, phonophobia or hearing a vague sound in the year?
6. Does the headache subside with sleep?
7. Do you ever have an epilepsy or unconsciousness during headache?
8. Does the headache is associated with aura?
9. Do you are undergoing through a chronic stress nowadays?
Please give answer to my entire question to the point so that I can help you.
Waiting for your reply

Please find the answers for your questions
1. What is the total duration of the illness?
If I get this headache and if I immediately stay away from its causes, then the headache will ot last for longer time. For example:
When I get this headache in office, if I continue to see the monitor my headache gets increased and it becomes worst by the end of the day.
Where as if I immediately stop working there and take some rest in calm area, then its intensity reduces.
2. What is the site of headache? Is it unilateral or bilateral?
I am sorry about these terms.
But headache often starts from forehead above the left side eye and left side temple, and gradually it spreads till the backside of head and that is when I become very very intolerable to light and sound. Most of the time its intensity is more on the left side of my head. Rarely on the right side.
I sleep in freefaller position to find some comfort. Only in this position I find comfort.
3. What is the nature of headache (throbbing, compressing or dull aching)?
As I said, when it spreads to the backside of my head, it is almost as good as throbbing. I feel like being hit by hammer on back of head. Whenever I shake my head, I feel its intensity at the worst level.
4. What is the periodicity of the headache (means how many times in a month/week the headache occur) and what is the duration of headache?
It occurs almost twice or thrice in a week but again this is not very consistent. I can say, 4-5 times in a month for sure. Again as I said, if I immediately take some rest, apply zandu balm it will somewhat reduce. So I apply zandu balm and sleep. It will somewhat reduce. But if I expose myself more to intense light and sound then it becomes worst. It will last for 1-2 days.
But if I don't take rest immediately, then in the next 3-4 hours the pain becomes worst as i said it spreads to back. And that is when I take vasograin tablets 1-2. And it stops after an hour or so.
5. Does headache is associated with anorexia, nausea, increased light sensitivity, reddening of eye, watering in the eyes, phonophobia or hearing a vague sound in the year?
Ok anorexia i referref dictionary meaining. Yes when the headache is severe, I don't feel like eating anything. I will lose interest on food. I will lose the hunger also to some extent.
Yes I become more sensitive to light during headache.
Sound, I become sensitive to sound too. I stop listening to music on speakers at this time.
No, nausea is not there.
No, reddening of eye is not there.
No, watering in eye is not there.
6. Does the headache subside with sleep?
Yes, it will drastically come down to normal and it will almost stop after I get a good sleep.
But as I said, if my headache has spread to the backside of my head, then even the sleep will not help me to reduce it. That time I will take 1-2 vasograin and I sleep. Then it reduces after the sleep.
7. Do you ever have an epilepsy or unconsciousness during headache?
No.
8. Does the headache is associated with aura?
No.
9. Do you are undergoing through a chronic stress nowadays?
No. But I remain stressed sometimes.
Sometimes this stress causes lack of sleep for almost entire night.
One more reason for my lack of sleep is the acidity/gastric problem. But these are in control I feel.
I find ways to reduce stress by listening to music or watching good comedy movies, find some laughter, spend some good time with our loved once. I am able to manage all my work powerfully and successfully all the time by tackling any sort of hassles wisely. So I don't think I have chronic stress. But yes, sometimes I get stressed but that's not a reason. I have this headache from past so many years. Where as this stress introduced in my life recently.
I hope these answers were to the point for you to identify and analyze my problem and give a proper solution.
Please help.

Thanks for the detailed description of your problem.
From your history it is very obvious that you are probably suffering from severe migraine without XXXXXXX
Now about the treatment of the migraine it consists of two parts. First one is prophylaxis, that you have to take every day irrespective of pain and the second one is for symptomatic, that you have to take this medicine.
For prophylaxis you can take amitriptyline/ propranolol/valproic acid every day and during your severe headache you can take any pain killer or NSAID (Naproxen is proved to be the best).
You need approximate 4-6 weeks to get the maximal response.
Please consult with your physician for selection of the drugs and prescribed them in proper doses.

Thank you!
My strong perception about migraine has become true for me now.
Okay then you gave a solution.
Can you please describe on the specific drug and the dosage along with few best alternates?
As you advised, I will then go to a doctor for sure for further assistance in this matter to make it more accurate.
I hope I am not troubling you with this second reply. I would be sorry.
Thank you for you patience in looking into my health problem and thanks for putting a clear picture in front of me!

Thanks for your query.
It would be unethical and inappropriate to prescribe you scheduled drugs without doing a proper examination. I am sorry on this.
However, you may consider taking Tab propranolol, Tab Divalproate sodium, Tab naproxen and Tab Ranitidine. All these are prescription drugs and are used in the treatment of Migraine. Your treating doctor will be aware of these. Please get it prescribed by him.
