Question: I haven't been sleeping well and I have considered taking Ambien or a similar sleep aide. I suffer from sleep apnea though. Is there any risk?

There are certain side effects of using such aids. ambien have adverse effects like delusion, hallucinations, change in thought pattern, dependence on drug, withdrawal effects, amnesia and certain others. Also due to improper sleep patterns you can develop conditions like anxiety and depression.
