Suffering with gastritis (chronic), diabetes, osteoarthritis (both knees) and slip disc since long, perhaps 10 to 15 year average.
Recently for continuous sharp pain in calf region, we consulted vascular and neuro dept.
Vascular report says no evidence of deep venous thrombosis and veins are patent and shows phasicity with respiration. While, for neuro, report says like severe sensory motor, assymetric axinal + demyelinal neuropathy attcehny both upper and lower limbs.

Neurologist have advised for maxgalip at 0.5 tab morning and 1 tab night, gla 120 1 tab afternoon and neurokind lc 1 tab morning. Difficulty we are facing is that after taking neurokind lc in morning, strong sleepy feeling happens lasting up to about 4 pm or so. We want to know whether we can take neurokind lc 1 tab in night instead of morning to avoid whole day sleepy feeling ?
Please advise.
Maxgalip AT is the cause for sleepiness.

Thank you for posting your query.
I am Dr Sudhir Kumar, Neurologist, and I would try my best to help you.
I have noted your mother's clinical details. Based on this, she is suffering from diabetic peripheral neuropathy, where the nerves in legs get damaged due to diabetes.
She is on correct medicines. Maxgalip AT contains pregabalin and amitriptyline, both of which can cause sleepiness. Therefore, I would suggest taking this medicine only at nights and avoid it in the morning. Nurokind LC is a vitamin supplement and is unlikely to cause drowsiness. However, if you wish, it can be safely taken at nights.
I hope my answer helps. Please get back if you have any follow up queries or if you require any additional information.
Wishing you good health,

Thank you for getting back.
In place of Gemcal, SHELCAL 500 mg can be taken, which is a good calcium supplement.
