Question: I've had severe migraines since I was 8 years old. Was told I'd outgrow them. At age 33, I developed CNS Non Hodgkin's lymphoma stage 4b, with seizures . More headaches. I got remission, 8 years later. I got chronic bronchitis and my legs suddenly didn't work, then my arms, it was Guillian Barree. After being dx'ed I was stupidly given the flu shot, making the treatment, IVIG, less of a chance to work.
I've been in physical therapy for almost 2 years. And have developed seizure syndrome.
What are your thoughts?
Thanks!

Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.
I understand that you are facing a multitude of health issues and trying to find out the best treatment for the same.
The treatment of GBS involves admission to a hospital for close monitoring until it has been determined that the course of the disease has reached a plateau or undergone reversal.
Intravenous immunoglobulin (IVIG) and plasma exchange are the well known treatments that can cause a disease reversal.
Physical therapy like daily ROM exercises and proper positioning is needed to prevent muscle shortening and joint contractures.
Active muscle strengthening can then be slowly introduced and may include isometric, isotonic, isokinetic, or progressive resistive exercises.
Definitely I would reassure you saying that you are getting the right treatment. You will be fine soon.
I hope this answers your query.
