Suggest OTC Drugs For Sneezing, Runny Nose And Dry Cough

Question: I woke up yesterday morning with a scratchy throat which is irritated when I breath in and has progressed into sneezing, runny nose, dry tight cough and I now have the chills but don't seem to have a fever. Is this something I have to wait out and fight with over the counter medicines and if so what is the best over the counter medicine to use? I am currently taking XXXXXXX seltzer plus for severe cold.

I read your question and i understand your concern. XXXXXXX seltzer is an antacid. Your symptoms of runny nose, sore throat and sneezing preceded by sore throat might be connected with acid reflux for which XXXXXXX seltzer might help , but you will need some more medicines like decongestants , antihistamines and advil . Apart from it, management of acid reflux with diet and lifestyle would also be necessary to prevent recurrent sore throat. Take warm comforting beverages, do salt water gargles and rest yoru voice for a while. These symptoms will resolve in a few days .
