Brief Answer:
Welcome

Detailed Answer:
I can provide some healthy diet plan ideas for you to follow and to get recipes/ideas for meals for.

One of the most popular wellness plans is the Mediterranean Diet. The Mediterranean Diet is a way of eating based on the traditional foods (and drinks) of the countries surrounding the Mediterranean Sea. This plan is a lifestyle – including foods, activities, meals with friends and family, and wine in moderation with meals. It has been studied and noted by many top scientists as one of the healthiest ways to eat as well as having positive impacts on decreases in heart disease.

Here is how to start eating this type of meal plan:
1.Eat lots of vegetables. To freeze, buy fresh, blanch quickly and put in freezer bags after draining.
2. Change the way you think about meat. Use smaller portions, leaner cuts, no fried meats or meats high in saturated fat
3. Eat breakfast.
4. Enjoy a glass of red wine with your meal.
5. Use more extra virgin olive oil and eat olives, avocados as opposed other more saturated oils (such as in homemade salad dressings)
6. Eat seafood twice a week for the omega 3 fatty acids.
7.Try eating more vegetarian meals. There are many prepared frozen vegetarian meals that can be low in sodium and healthy.
8. Don't forget dairy. Yogurt with active probiotics is good, but cannot be frozen.Cheese can be frozen for later use.
9. Choose whole grain products fresh or frozen. Insoluble fiber is best for constipation as opposed to soluble fiber, but try to get a mixture of up to 25 grams per day along with lots of fluid as you gradually increase that fiber.
10. Buy bags of frozen fruit and mix in with yogurt for a dessert or in a smoothie.
11.10. Switch to high fiber cereal.
Does this give you some ideas of how to mix your foods for a healthy diet?

Stay away from added sugars, juice. Rather have a piece of fresh fruit instead.

Recipes for this diet are easy to find on the Internet.

Best wishes. XXXXXXX Shattler, MS,RDN
