Suggest A Non-addictive Medicine For Anxiety

Some alternatives given, but you will need to see a local doctor.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thank you for using HCM to post your health question.
One pill that I recommend my patients is Propanolol 40-80 mg, which calms down the physical symptoms of anxiety like shortness of breath, chest tightness, hand shaking, fast heart beating. Use that only when you have those symptoms, not regularly.
The one you are already taking (Effexor) is one of the best also. It needs almost 3 weeks to start acting, but once it takes effect, it is great. It is not addictive, but you will need to use it for the reason that your doctor has recommended as long as its needed (usually 6 months free of symptoms).
Buspiron, is another alternative. It treats anxiety, but doesn't give sleepiness, nor addiction.
For all of these you will need a consultation with a local psychiatrist, and after evaluation he will give a prescription.
Hope this is helpful.
Let me know if you need more clarifications.
Regards,
