Suggest A Safe Medicine To Delay Periods

Question: Hi.. My last periods were on Oct 23rd and next is expected on Nov 20th(26-28days typical cycle i have). I am hiking from 20th - 23rd and would like to avoid periods then. What can be a safe medicine to do that? Also if I may have unprotected will I need to take another high hormone medicines? Or if you could suggest one medicine for both delay and contraception? Thanks for your time
Brief Answer:
You can use primolut-n for delay your menses.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for writing to us about it.
I can understand your concern, though.
Primolut-n containing hormone norethisterone in it and use for delay your menses.
You should start it from 3-4 days before your expected period date (in your case it is from 16-17 November) in a dosage of 5 mg twice daily and continue till the date you do not want your period.
When you quit it, your period will resume within 2-3 days.
Primolut -n as such not use as a contraceptive pill.
Thus in my opinion better you should go for I-pill in case of unprotected sex.
Hope it is useful, feel free to discuss more.
Good luck.

OK.. Is there no one medicine that can serve both purposes? Would increasing the dosage to 3 primolut help or should I just have ipill? Lastly how badly will this affect my cycle and my hormones.. As in anything I should be concerned about?
I have taken few I pills this year (3times in 11 months).. Thank you for your time.

Brief Answer:
Frequent use of I-pill is not recommended.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Nice to hear from you again though.
No you should go for I -pill as well as primolut-n for your problem.
Primolut-n is not effective for contraception.
In my view, for unprotected sex you should go for I-pill rather than increase the dose of primolut.
Yes, it may affect your menstrual cycle. As such, use of primolut and I-pill is safe, but frequent exercise is not recommended.
Frequent use of pill causes menstrual irregularities for 2-3 cycles.
Please use regular method of contraception in the future.
Hope it is useful, feel free to ask more.
Good luck.
