Suggest Alternate Over The Counter Medication For Myrbetriq
Question: I am a 85 year old female who takes 7.5 grams Enablex daily for urinary control. My Medicare D insurance provider no longer includes this product in its formulary, and may force me to switch meds. I have mayasthena gravis and understand that not all drugs in this category may be used by MG patients. Also, the price of Myrbetriq (which I can take with MG) is way out of my price range as a retiree on a fixed pension. What to do? Thank you.
Brief Answer:
Generic darifenacin (enabrel) is available, which is cheaper
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thank you for trusting HealthcareMagic
Enabrel contains darifenacin as active ingredient.
Darifenacin generic is now available from Anchen/Par Pharmaceuticals, which is cheaper than brand Enabrel.
Please contact your insurance to see if they cover the generic darifenacin.
You can also found coupons online for enabrel which can help reduce the cost.
Buying Myrbetriq will be costlier as the generic brand is not available yet.
Hope this answers your question
