Suggest Alternate Over The Counter Medication For Pravachol
Is there a statin drug other than pravachol that is labeled for raising low HDL (my problem) and which of the statins have you found to be better at raising HDL?
I'm still thinking you do not need drugs but lifestyle changes...
Detailed Answer:
Hi back,
I was going again through your medical history and the cholesterol numbers carefully, and I found them fine, within normal range.
Please take note the general rule: drugs are used only to achieve lowering cholesterol numbers. If they fall within normal range, then, there is no need to continue with drugs. Therapeutic Lifestyle Changes (TLC) are encouraged to continue regularly.
To answer your question, you can use on long term periods only herbal supplements to keep them within normal range.
If you want to continue taking drugs unnecessarily, then, their use will cause very low blood cholesterol, lower than normal range, that will negatively affect your body function and is also associated with respective side effects too.
If you still want to use medications, can reassume to take Niacin 1000 mg only but be careful of side effects.
Hope this answers your query.
