Suggest Alternative Medication For Femilon Taken For Delaying Menstruation

I am getting married on Feb 6th and my menstrual cycle is 24 days. My Feb month period is supposed to start on feb 5th.. I consulted a guyno and as per her suggestion started taking femilion from XXXXXXX 25. She said this will act as both contraceptive and delay my period. But I feel femilion is not sufficient to prevent by periods as I am getting usual pre menstrual signs now. Can you please advise on this and let me know if I need to have any other further pills or continue with femilion
Femilon will not help if started so late
Detailed Answer:
Hi dear,
I have gone through your question and understand your concerns.
Femilon would have been effective in delaying the periods as well as as contraceptive, if it was started on day 1 to day5 of the periods.
You started it quite late, and in this scenario, it will neither act as a contraceptive, nor help you in delaying the periods.
I will suggest you to start taking Regestrone tablet5 mg twice a day from today onwards, and continue it till you don't want the periods.
Femilon can be stopped once you start Regestrone.
Hope you found the answer helpful .
Please do get back for further queries.
Wishing you good health.

Thanks for your reply.. I have a few queries.. If I start taking regestrone will it also act as contraceptive in case I am having sex by using condom.. Will I get my periods once I stop using regestrone.. In that case in how many days can I expect my periods.. Can I have both femilion and regestone at the same time.. Or I should discontinue my fermillion and start it again after I get my periods..
Regestrone not a contraceptive pill
Detailed Answer:
Hi dear,
Regestrone is not a contraceptive pill.
You will get periods within5-7 days of stopping the pills.
No, there is no rationale of taking both Regestrone and femilon together.
You should start taking femilon from the day one of your next periods.

I have a quick question.. In this case do I have more chances of pregnancy. Can you let me know if I need to take any pills in addition to restrogen to avoid pregnancy. Or should I use emergency contraceptive pills.
Barrier contraception advised
Detailed Answer:
Hi dear, chances of pregnancy are there if there is unprotected intercourse.
I will suggest you to use barrier contraception( condom) for contraceptive effect.
