Suggest Alternative Medication For Mirtazapine

Question: I have been on Mirtazapine 30ng for a little while. But about a month ago I didn't think it was doing much for my mood, so I asked the doctor to do something. He decided to put me on 45mg from 30mg. That is giving me horrible side effects so have had to stop it. I want them to try me on something else completely. I would like your opinion please as to what u think they should/might need to try? Whatever they try I really nerd ir to work as I am going through a really difficult time at the moment and will be for the foreseeable future. I'm quite anxious that if they don't make a decision soon Tha works I'm really going to start struggling

Detailed Answer:
Hello, and thanks for your question.
I have this as your most recent medication list:
Duloxetine 40mg
Ferrous fumarate 305mg
Mirabegron fomg
Promethaine 10mg
Propranolol 40mg
Ranitide 150mg
if you are looking for something to help with insomnia and to augment your antidepressant, Seroquel would be a good choice. At low doses (25-100mg) it is a good sedative and also helps the effects of your antidepressant. This would be my first choice to replace mirtazapine.
