Brief Answer:
Injections are only partially helpful

Detailed Answer:
Thank you for contacting HCM with your health care concerns

You have been suffering with carpal tunnel syndrome. If you can't have surgery due to the cost there are other options that may help. I would first recommend a cock-up splint. This is a splint used to relieve the pressure on the radial nerve. you can find one at a local pharmacy. I would also recommend taking a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory like ibuprofen and naprosyn if OK by your doctor. This will take several 2-4 weeks to fully work. Then injections of steroids. This can help but in most cases is of limited value. Then lastly is surgery.

In summary
1. cock up splint
2. NSAIDs like ibuprofen or naprosyn
3. Steroid injections
4. Surgery
