Thanks for your query
I'm Dr Sudhir Kumar
I have gone through your query and understand your concern. You are having arthritis for which knee replacement is advised. Alternative to this are many but it depends upon condition of your knee clinically ( pain) and radiological ( x ray) findings.
One method is disease modifying drugs such as Diacerine and glucosamine. It is advisable to get your vitamin D3 and if it is low its supplements can be taken. Analgesic such as ibuprofen are useful for pain relief. Quadriceps excercises are of use.
About stem cells treatment it is not well established till now and in experimental stage.
Delivery of an appropriate mesenchymal stem cell (MSC) population is currently being investigated in the search for new therapies for OA.
In the long term, MSC-based technologies could permit the engineering and repair of cartilage as a treatment option for OA joints.
You can discuss with your doctor about it.
Hope your query get answered. If you have any clarification then I will be happy to help you.
Wishing you a good health.
Take care.
