Question: Can you tell me if there is an antibiotic cream that can be used in place of tinaderzol, which my daughter cannot tolerate, and is on for treatment of a gynecological bacterial infection ?

It appears it is tinidazole that is given for protozoal infection which is causing nausea vomiting.
Secnidazole single dose can be used instead .This is single dose and has lesser side effects.
Ornidazole single dose may be another alternative.
She may also require Topical treatment for the rash erupting around anal area.This may be due to irritation around anal area or fungal infection and requires treatment accordingly.Keeping the area clean is important.

Thank you for your response Dr. Should the anal rash be treated with something like clotrimatrol cream? I may be able to get that prescription renewed or is there something else you would recommend that I can ask about ?
Lastly, if I can't get my daughter into her gynecologist who has been treating her up to now, should I take her to our dermatologist ? I see that is your specialty. Thank you,
