Brief Answer:
few things to consider..

Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXXX, Welcome to HCM,
I've gone through your query and understand your concern,

First of all, it's really sad to even hear how much trouble your going through due to this (yes, I'm aware of the recent price hike of EPi-pen, but don't worry, they're reconsidering it again, so may be in near future it'll get reduced again)..

Benadryl is indeed quite sedating, you can try Tab LORATADINE/ DESLORATADINE (i.e. Claritin) in low dosage i.e. 5 mg twice daily after food for next 7 days, it'll help reducing the symptoms..

Alternatively, you can also try Tab CETIRIZINE (i.e. Zyrtec) 10 mg Once daily at bedtime (although it has some sedative potential, but much lesser compared to Benadryl)..

[Since all these are prescription medications, Please get the necessary prescription from your local physician]

You can also apply soothing skin lotions i.e. Aloe-vera or lacto-calamine over the area, it'll provide some relief..

However, if despite all these, they keep on recurring, then a visit to a Dermatologist can be sought in order to rule out any fungal infection (if at all detected then can be treated with Topical antifungals like Clotrimazole cream over the affected area twice daily for 2 weeks)..

Wish you a quick recovery..

Take Care
Kind Regards
