Suggest An Effective Emergency Contraception Pill
You can use one of them
Detailed Answer:
Hi dear and thanks for your query.
You can use one of them (they are same ,monophasic pill) as emergency contraception pill .
You should take XXXXXXX or Marvelon in two doses (two active tablets) , 12 hours apart.
All you should take 4 tablets. These are prescribed medication.
Some women who use this method experience mild nausea and maybe even some vomiting. If you throw up within one hour of taking your pills (either the first dose or the second dose), you’ve got to call your health care provider. There’s a chance you could have thrown up the pills which would make this method ineffective. If that happens, you may need another dose.
All the best
Thanks for your reply. Two questions:
1. Which one - XXXXXXX or marvelon since the ingredients are slightly different.
2. A lot of other websites say 4 tablets + 4 tablets / 12 hours apart.
Please confirm

wait for your menstrual periods
Detailed Answer:
Hi again!
You are welcome to HCM.
The best is to wait for your menstrual periods and than begin in the first day.
Hence you will be sure that you haven't conceive and you will be protected for the next seven days .
All the best
Took first dose at 1 PM. No vomiting throughout the day. Only some headache.
Took second dose at AM. Vomited at 2:30 AM.
Do I need to repeat the dose????
are two alternative
Detailed Answer:
Hi dear again.
If you have vomited within two hours after you took the pill, you should take second dose.
If not you shouldn't.
All the best.
Thanks for ur answer.
She took medicine at 1:00 AM. Vomitted at 2:30 AM. It is less than two hours. Now the time in UAE is 11:00 AM.
It will be ok to repeat the dose and the long gap between two doses will not affect the purpose - emergency contraception?
By the way, just to update you, it was my 4th or 5th day after the last mensturation cycle when we had unprotected sex.
Awaiting your answer.
Regards
Thanks for information
Detailed Answer:
Hi again.
Emergency contraception don't have effect or low effect, if it wasn't use as per rules, second dose 12 hours after the first.
But don't worry so much for the second dose because if you have unprotected intercourse in the 5 day of menstrual cycle there is no chance to conceive.
Hence don't take another dose.
Be calm.
