Suggest An Ideal Diet Chart For A Pregnant Woman
Question: Hi there,
My wife is currently in her third trimester. I'm concerned with her diet because according to our gynecologist, there is no limitations to the foods my wife can have during her pregnancy, as long as she takes everything in moderation, and takes her iron, calcium, fish oil supplements, etc..
We have been trying to have at least two homecooked meals a week, along with herbal soups a few times a week to build her body up to handle the pregnancy.
Still, I'm very concerned as to how her poor diet will affect the baby. She snacks on chips, cookies, and despite my efforts, had a packet of instant noodles earlier today. We are a working couple, and are both legally blind, so it's hard enough to have a complete and wholesome diet for her.
May I just know how such poor diet will affect her, our baby and the overall pregnancy?
Thank you.

Hi Dr XXXXXXX XXXXXXX
Thank you for the reply.
We have had regular checkups, scans and assessments throughout the pregnancy, and our baby is growing well.
Will there be no negative consequences to our baby's development and health due to foods like instant noodles? I hear the wax in there is is cancerous.
