Suggest Better Treatment For Vaginosis

Its a mixed vaginosis...explained
Detailed Answer:
hello,
Hello
Thanks for contacting HCM,
If you have been continuing with vaginosis symptoms for over a year now , then it is not bacterial vaginosis alone , it is a mixed vaginosis then with a possible fungal element as well. You may get a high vaginal swab culture done to isolate the fungal spores or bacterial organisms and then take combined anti fungals and antibacterials for a week for complete treatment.
ALSO very important is to treat your partner at the same time to dis allow cross infection and re-infection after treatment.
use clotrimazole + clindamycin combination vaginal pessaries intravaginally each night for 7 days .
give your partner tab luconazole 150mg stat for co treatment.
regards

thankyou

Detailed Answer:
hello,
its perfectly fine for you to be started on metronidazole which can cover anaerobes as well . you may use it and see the effect and the swab may be taken again after 2 weeks or so if the treatment fails or is unresponsive.
there is no point insisting on swab if he is busy and you shall try metronidazole and see the effects first.
regards
