Please follow....
Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you for asking.
I read carefully all your concerns and I understood your query.
The diet for diverticulitis changes depending to the severity of the inflammation and disease.
So if you have acute mild to moderate diverticulitis I recommend as follows :
1. You need to use liquid diet for a couple of days like water, fresh fruit juice, broth , gelatin, ice chips, tea.
2.After that if you feel better and the symptoms starts to improve than you can use low fiber diet who consist :
white bread, fish , eggs, milk , yogurt, cheese, white rice, vegetables like potatoes, plenty of water, fruits without skin, banana.
You will continue with these diet till you feel good and the symptoms are disappeared. If you are improved than you can start to use your normal diet reached with high fiber foods.
It is important to know that if you have diverticulitis apart the diet you need to start antibiotic use, probiotic and stool softeners if needed.
wish you all the best.

As i said above there's a list of foods that you may eat during the second stage of treatment. Please follow the above mentioned suggestions.
Yes you may need a course of antibiotics. However, since this may have unwanted side effects you should discuss with your treating doctor.
