Suggest Dosage For Lesuride
Can I take 50 in the night instead of mor/eve, and will it help me with the anxiety the next day? Also will I feel better in terms of drowsiness and headache? Is it available in dosage of 50, if yes, what brand and which company?
Another option is take 1/2 of 25 in the morning and 25 in the night? Or else half of 25 in the night and 1/2 in the morning?
What does combo and timing, would you suggest as to avoid drowsiness/ headache? Is it to be taken before or after food? My doc says it doesn't really help with anxiety, what's ur view?
You can start taking the 50 mg in evening.

Hello thanks for asking again
Lesuride as we discussed earlier also is Levosulpiride. The drug in low doses increases dopaminergic neurotransmission and thus helps to lift the mood, improve negative symptoms, helps in bowel symptoms etc. Though the drug is not an anti-anxiety drug but the drug helps to improve negative symptoms, lifts mood so helps to improve the co-morbidities caused by anxiety. It is commonly used in patients of anxiety who fail to respond to conventional anti anxiety drugs.
You can take the 50 mg dose in evening no need to worry. This will prevent the drowsiness in day time. Common brands are Lesuride OD 50 mg (Sun pharma), Levazeo 50 mg (Torrent pharma) etc. But keep this thing in mind that the drug doesn't help to improve the symptoms. The drug cause changes at receptor levels and takes time to show its full effects. Please stick to this therapy for at least a couple of weeks. Better to take with or before food. I commonly advise the drug to be taken before meals to my patients with plenty of water.
Thanks, Hope this helps. Please don't hesitate to ask again for more doubts.
No specific effects on bioavailability.

Hello thanks for asking again.
I am not sure about the mouth dissolving tablet of Levosulpiride but no worries in cutting the tablet in half. It will have same effects. Mouth dissolving tablets are not coated tablets and dividing the tablet in half will have not much effects on bioavailability.
Thanks, Still have doubts please ask again.
No significant interactions between drugs.

Hello again and thanks for asking again
No significant risks in taking Olanzapine with Levosulpiride. Both have no significant drug interactions. Both are safe together.
As Levosulpiride caused drowsiness to you so no use in taking the drug in morning hours. Better to take 50 mg dose in evening in my opinion. Yes for anxiety you can take half of Librax in morning.
Thanks.
Both drugs are safe at this doses.

Hello again and thanks for asking a follow up
Librax consists of Clinidium and Chlordiazepoxide and the drug combination is used in gastric ulcers, irritable bowel syndrome etc conditions. The anticholinergic side effects like dry mouth, constipation, blurred vision etc might be observed that too on high doses. The drug doesn't cause hunger pangs or gastric upset.
Levosulpiride is also safe and is not associated with such symptoms. In my opinion anxiety is the reason for these symptoms. Please wait for some days and you will see improvement. Just continue to take drugs in same doses for few days.
Thanks.
