Suggest Dosage For Misoprostal
Question: Hello Doctor,
I have taken unwanted kit for aborting 2 week of pregnancy as per local doctor's advise. I have already taken 1 tablet of Mifepristone and taken 2 tab of Misoprostal vaginally after 24hrs as advised by local doctor. Bleeding has been started at the 1st Misoprostal but 2nd dose has come out while i passed urine.When do I take my 3rd dose and how many dose of Misoprostal shoud I take ? Please advice since I am nt able to contac my local doctor.

Your first dose of misoprostal has come out. So it is best to take 2 tablets of misoprostal orally at night for two days to have a proper effect. It is also vital to have a follow up ultrasound scan to check that the abortion pills worked and the uterus is empty, after 15 days of taking the tablets.
Failing to take these precautions , there are risks such as - infection, uncontrolled bleeding, retained products, undiagnosed ectopic pregnancy etc.
