Suggest Dosage For Prednisone
Question: I'm currently taken a one week dose of prednasone. I'm on day three and tomorrow down to three. they're 5mg each. This morning I took 8mg of ibeprofen and am experiencing major diarreha. Could this be due to mixing the two? I have to finish out the prednasone. Am I safe taking more ibeprofen along with it? The diarreha is black.correction. I'm on a five day dose, not a one week dose of prednasone

I read it carefully and I understand your concern.
When the two drugs are mixed there is a major risk of having gastrointestinal bleeding. So if you have had previous stomach problems and the diarrhea you are having now is black like petroleum, you should go to the ER because they need to evaluate how much blood you are losing and if the bleeding is active.
You should anyway stop taking them together. I doubt that just 800mg has done a damage if you have had no problems with the stomach before, but the risk is that it may give problems if you take more.
