Detailed Answer:
Hello and Welcome
I appreciate your concern
BP medication require at least 6 weeks to have a complete effect. One should not adjust the dose of the antihypertensive drugs based on one high reading alone. The BP needs monitoring for now to look for response to the medication. Do not increase the dose. Continue the same prescribed dose and strength. If the BP remains persistently high despite the initiation for greater than 4 to 6 weeks then your doctor can adjust the dose accordingly.
Wishing you best of health
Thanks

Detailed Answer:
Hello again.
You should give it time, sir. 40+5mg Frumil also lowers BP. You can go in for earlier reviews. Tomorrows appointment can be awaited. Though the amlodipine dose can be increased to 10 mg if the BP rises further. Ramipril can be increased XXXXXXX up to 20 mg. However this needs to be done gradually after checking the response of the add on medication for at least 4 weeks.
