Brief Answer:
You can give paracetamol if fever persists even after giving meftal
Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXXXXX
Thanks for the query
You can give paracetamol at a dose of 15 mg/kg 6 hourly along with the mefenemic acid as advised. There are also combination of mefenemic acid and paracetamol available in XXXXXXX But it is better to use the medication separately.Use the other drug after few hours after watching the response of first medicine.Do tepid sponging of body as it gives a very good result and has no side effect.
Fever is a manifestation of any infection or inflammation. The underlying cause must be addressed.
Aggressive control of fever may result in hypothermia,so be cautious.
This is a prescription drug and should be taken under physician supervision.
I will be glad to answer if you have any further query
