Adult women can either have oily skin leading to pimples as teenagers or they may have dry and sensitive skin.
Other problem for adult women on face is melasma and black spots.
Exact use of face cream depend on skin type.
However in my opinion a good cleansing agent like cetaphil will work better for face wash instead of soap. This will prevent acne and also will give good soothing effect. Application of moisturizer is indicated only if skin is too dry.
It will be also better to avoid all cosmetic creams like fair and lovely, vicco etc. It is always advisable to avoid steroid containing creams like betnovate, skin lite which can damage skin on long term use.
I usually prescribe cream like melaglow(abott pharma) for adult women who consult in my chamber. It does not contain steroid and they can use it on long term use. You may need a prescription for this.
