Suggest Home Remedies For UTI
Question: YYYY@YYYY
Age 57, never had a uti...have one now after a long time in woods picking berries and sweating. The day after (yesterday I did a canoe trip...knowing I had UTI and strength was fine. Drank A LOT of water during the day and saw no blood anymore. My doctor is 120 miles away, as I live in Northern Minnesota. Is there harm in using some home remides before I make the treck.
I have not received any feedback yet on my question. Nothing with information about my question has appeared on my email. Hmmmm! Please let me know if my question is still being peer reviewed...or why I have not heard anything back. Email address is YYYY@YYYY . I gave my cell phone #, but I do only have a Trac Phone. Perhaps that is a problem. I did indeed already pay my fee. Thank you.

Brief Answer:
There is no harm in using home remedies!
Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you so much for this query.
I am so sorry to hear about this UTI. The best treatment are antibiotics. Unfortunately, you need a doctor’s script for this and only your prescribing doctor can do so. Home remedies are encouraged and should be truly helpful. Drinking much water as well as cranberry juice can help before you get to your doctor. However, make the trip early so as to get the drugs and start treatment early as well.
I hope this helps. I wish you well. Feel free to ask for more information and clarifications if need be.
