Brief Answer:
Get them removed by electrocauterisation or excission

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for being at healthcaremagic
For removal of skin tags you need to consult a dermatologist and get them removed by either electrocauterisation or excission.
As far as home remedies are concerned they are not very effective and are associated with chances of irritant reaction and pain. Some of my patients have applied garlic and baking soda over the skin tags but have developed irritant contact dermatitis.
Another method is tying a thread around the tag to block its blood supply so that it shrinks, dries up and fall off but again it has its own side effects. It can be associated with swelling and pain in the surrounding skin.
I hope to have answered your query.
I would be happy to clarify any further doubts.

Dr Asmeet
