default
Posted on Tue, 7 Jul 2015
Question: Ok so I went to the Dr today I was worried about blood clots they took 3 viles of blood and like 39 minutes later came back and said I was clear on that. What exactly did they test because the Dr told me they didn't do the test to see if I have a risk of having them? And should this be sufficient enough. He suggested a neuro for pain in y legs because it moves around

Brief Answer:
Bleeding time/ Clotting time

Detailed Answer:
Hello

Thanks for the query

I usually test for the following things I am worried about blood clots

1. Bleeding time
2. Clotting time
3. Prothrombin time
4. Protein C and S

It should be sufficient to tell if a person is at risk of bleeding or not.

I hope I was of help, if you have any further doubts please get back to me
