Suggest Medical Tests To Rule Out Bronchitis

1 week history of upper respiratory symptoms; 2 day fever, malaise, nausea, nose running, fluid behind ears, inspiratory crackles, Cough present, productive with a brownish-rusty colored sputum; egophony and whispered pectoriloquy at right anterior axillary line
In dr's office my pulse was 128; Respirations 32 ; BP 110/80; Temperature 39.2 C
Possibility of LRTI or bronchitis is more.
Detailed Answer:
Thanks for your question on Health Care Magic.
I can I can understand your.
By your history and description, possibility of post infectious bronchitis or lower respiratory tract infection (LRTI - pneumonia) is more.
So get done complete blood count (CBC), CRP (C reactive protein) and Chest x ray.
If chest x ray is normal then no need to worry for pneumonia. Then PFT (Pulmonary Function Test) is needed to rule out bronchitis.
If it is pneumonia then you will need higher antibiotics.
If it is bronchitis then you will need inhaled bronchodilators and inhaled corticosteroid (ICS).
Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks.
