Suggest Medication For DVT

Question: I tested positive for the Lupus Like Inhibitor, will Aspirin 325 mg everyday prevent DVT. I have not had DVT but the reason I got tested is because my brother had DVT with PE. I seen my regular doctor and she said no reason to put me on warfarin and for me to take 325 mg of aspirin daily. Is that efficient to prevent clots
Brief Answer:
yes aspirin is fine
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for your query.
The standard recommendation for incidentally found lupus like inhibitor (by routine testing, no history of clot), is not to use anticoagulation.
Aspirin may be given to reduce cardiovascular and clot risk.
So you are on the right track.
Hope this helps.

Attached are my labs can you please tell me if i should even be taking aspirin, what do these labs mean
Brief Answer:
may hold aspirin also
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for sending the reports. It gives much clarity.
As only LLI is positive and anticardiolipin and beta2 glycoprotein are both negative, there is no pressing need to start any therapy. You can wait for 3 months, repeat the tests and if LLI is still positive, we can consider treatment.
For now, even aspirin is not needed. But it is also true that we give aspirin to many patients with family history of cardiovascular disease. The dose is usually in 75-150 mg range. No need to take high dose of 325 mg daily.
