Brief Answer:
Cannot be treated only modified
Detailed Answer:
Hello Mrs.xxxxxxx, thanks for trusting health care magic.
PCOD is a tendency of the ovary which is further manipulated by other hormones in body.
There is per se no treatment except weight loss (in overweight patients) and an active lifestyle.
In general oral pills help to put a halt on the progression of disease to some extent control the symptoms transiently so not a treatment per se.
So in case you are overweight try to lose weight and even if you are lean and thin indulge in active lifestyle in the form of sports, swimming or gym.
All the best.

Using contraceptive pills will have any weight gain effect or is it a myth?
Brief Answer:
No weight gain with newer pills
Detailed Answer:
Newer pills with low estrogen and drospirenone are very effective and not associated with weight gain either.
Older pills used to cause weight gain in around 10-20% of patients but it is not a problem now.
