Question : Need medication for chest congestion and productive cough. No fever or breathing difficulty. Please suggest tablet/cough syrup

Hi,

You seem to be suffering from viral bronchitis with constricted airways. To releive the congestion and excess mucus I suggest the following
Syrup ASCORIL 10ml thrice a day
Steam inhalation with KARVOL vasocaps in the water of the steam
Avoid cold foods and drinks especially from the refrigerator.

Tab Allercet-DC was recommended to me by a fellow doctor. Will Ascoril syrup interact with this medication?

Allergic rhinitis

Hi,

Your problem did not restrict to upper airway it seems to trickle down the throat into larger lower airways. So I suggest Ascoril. Allercet DC is for allergic rhinitis or eosinophilia.
They do not interact but it is not recommended to use non specific drugs at a time.
